Subaru and its retailers partner with Operation Warm® to visit local homeless shelters and support agencies to provide children with brand-new necessities like coats, shoes, and socks.
These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, they can also have a significant impact on a child’s mental and emotional well-being.
Through this partnership and other historical Subaru Loves to Help efforts, Subaru and retailers like us will have supported over 1 million children and adults in urgent need nationwide.
At Subaru, we believe what we leave behind is a reflection of who we are. That’s why Subaru and our retailers partner with the Arbor Day Foundation (TM) to provide and distribute 100,000 regionally appropriate trees across the country. We’re proud to establish the largest corporate tree distribution ever. Through this and other Subaru Loves the Earth initiatives, Subaru and our retailers have helped distribute and plant over 1.1 million trees.
Subaru believes we should all have a chance to lead a healthy life. That’s why for over 10 years, Subaru and its retailers like us have partnered with Blood Cancer United® and our local hospital to give warm blankets and encouraging messages of hope, written by our employees and customers, to support our community members living with cancer. Through our combined efforts during this partnership, we have supported over 550,000 cancer patients nationwide. Together, we are proud to be Blood Cancer United’s largest automotive donor.
Subaru and its retailers, like us, are continuing our support of education and high-needs schools in our communities through Subaru Loves Learning(R) by providing teachers across the country with funding to purchase the school supplies and resources they know are needed to help students thrive in the classroom. Through our partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org, Subaru and its retailers have supported more than 950,000 students nationwide and are proud to be their largest corporate supporter.
Subaru believes all pets deserve a loving home. That's why retailers like us partner with our local animal welfare organization every October to provide direct financial assistance through a grant distributed by the ASPCA® and host pet events to help animals find loving homes. Through our partnership with local and national organizations, Subaru has donated over $70 million, supporting the rescue, adoption, and health of over 700,000 animals. We're proud to be the largest corporate donor to the ASPCA.

For the past couple years, RK Subaru of Vineland has partnered with Blood Cancer United® (formerly The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society) and Inspira Health through the Subaru Loves to Care initiative. The partnership has involved delivering blankets, and messages of hope to cancer patients. On June 15th, RK Subaru of Vineland had the pleasure of bringing these items to patients in treatment at the Inspira Frank and Edith Scarpa Regional Cancer Pavilion. This wonderful act of generosity brought smiles and comfort to the patients at Inspira Health, as well as the amazing staff. The Subaru team was so excited and grateful to make the day for the patients battling cancer a little bit easier through this delivery and are eager to come back again next year.
Imagine going without a coat, shoes, or even socks. For millions of children and adults experiencing homelessness and other urgent need situations across the country, even here in Vineland, this is a harsh reality. Helping others strengthens communities, which is why RK Subaru of Vineland is partnering with Operation Warm®, a national nonprofit focused on connecting children with the resources they need to thrive. Through this partnership and other Subaru Loves to Help® efforts, Subaru and retailers like RK Subaru of Vineland have helped nearly 900,000 children and adults in urgent need. On 01/21/2025, RK Subaru of Vineland donated 120 coats to Center For Family Services - Vineland, NJ. These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, it can have a significant impact on a child's mental and emotional well-being.
This Valentine’s Day, RK Subaru of Vineland didn’t just share the love—we sponsored it. As part of our ongoing Paws of Fame Adoption Program, we teamed up with South Jersey Regional Animal Shelter to fully sponsor the adoptions of five incredible pets: Coley, Fernando, Honeybee, Wendy, and Coco. On November 9th, 2023, I pulled into RK Subaru Vineland Service Center at 5:00pm. I was traveling to NY the next day and my rear windshield wiper assembly was broken. Even though it was closing time for the service department, Nick DiDonato was still there and did not hesitate to help me. While he was looking for the part, I went in to say “Hi” to Dave LaLena, who sold the Forester to me over 3 years before. Dave followed me back to the service department to check on the status. Nick informed us both that the part was not in stock. Without hesitation, Dave said, “Can you take mine off of my Forester and put it on Sandy’s car? She’s driving to New York tomorrow and it’s supposed to rain.” In less than 5 minutes, Nick removed Dave’s assembly from his personally owned Forester and put it on mine! That is above and beyond the call of duty. With all the negative in the world today, I thought you would want to know the “good stuff” about your employees! Fantastic news for animal lovers everywhere! Harper, the first lovable pet who captured our hearts through the RK Subaru - Paws of Fame Program, has finally found her forever home! We're excited to announce that Harper was adopted from South Jersey Regional Animal Shelter. Thanks to the generosity of the Paws of Fame program by RK Subaru, Harper's adoption fees were completely covered. Adoption fees help vaccinate, deworm, heartworm test, spay or neuter, administer a rabies shot, and microchip that includes assigning an ID tag before sending them to their new home. We hope Harper and his new family have many years of happiness together. Through our partnership with RK Subaru Vineland, SJRAS attended a National Make a Dog’s Day event on October 22. Five shelter dogs and their volunteer handlers got to visit the dealership, one of whom, Pantera (an underdog through-and-through, happy as can be despite his paralyzed hind legs) along with his foster family, was surprised with a brand new set of wheels. Thanks to RK Subaru Vineland and a variety of local small-business partners, we managed to spread awareness of the shelter’s work, make each of our shelter dogs’ days, and bring back a sizeable haul of item donations. Over and above everything else, it was most rewarding to see Pantera go to a wonderful home after all he’d been through.
Our Story about Pantera🐶 and his adoption: RK Subaru of Vineland works with South Jersey Regional Animal Shelter to sponsor pet adoptions🐾 on a monthly basis. Whenever we sponsor these pets, we also cover their adoption fees. We told SJRAS we’d like to sponsor an underdog for October in honor of national “Make a Dog’s Day”. They said they had the perfect dog for the job and introduced us to Pantera, a Labrador mix. The shelter believes he was hit by a car and never received proper care afterward, and now his back legs don’t function fully. He doesn’t let that stop him though! He’s still very active and even loves to run! We decided to have Pantera visit the dealership and meet the staff so we could take some pictures and make his adoption promotion video. His foster mom, Tina, brought him in and we could all tell how much she genuinely cared for this special needs dog. Fast forward to this Monday 10/17. Tina visits us at the dealership and in one very exciting breath tells us she is adopting Pantera and also wants a new Subaru. We were so excited for her and happy that our sponsored pup found his furever home, we decided to throw in a pet ramp AND covered the remaining balance for a doggy wheelchair for him with their new Forester Wilderness purchase Thank you; again to Tina, her husband Patrick, and their new dog Pantera for letting us be part of their story. My husband, Greg, has Parkinson's Disease and had difficulty getting in and out of our Toyota. He and my daughter spent a day trying out passenger seats of various SUVs. They narrowed it down to two: the Subaru Forester and Hyundai Tucson. My husband and I returned to both dealers to try out each car. I was impressed with Jessica Magee's preparation, knowledge and professional manner. Because of this, I purchased the Subaru. This was the first time I purchased a car since I was in my 20s and that was quite a while ago. I love my Subaru and appreciate all Jessica's help learning what this amazing car can do!

RK Subaru recently joined the community in shock when a dog walker found Coco; in a urine-soaked duffle-bag, dumped near Gerresheimer Glass Co., near Park Ave., in Vineland. Thankfully the walker's dog noticed the bag and started to sniff around, and at that point, the dog walker had investigated when the bag was making sounds and moving. He quickly brought Coco to South Jersey Regional Animal Shelter, with who we've worked several times in the past. She was nursed back to health by South Jersey Regional Animal Shelter and adopted by a member of SJRAS's staff. RK was happy to announce that we have covered the adoption fees for Coco. We recently collected new and gently used clothing and then donated it to Cumberland Family Shelter. My wife and I’s leases were coming up on our current vehicles. When I sat in a Forester for the first time I knew. Tank was surrendered to the South Jersey Regional Animal Shelter when his family found themselves in turmoil after the tragic loss of a child. Tank had spent much of his life on a chain and was suffering from a heartworm infestation. As an older Pitbull, his chances for adoption were not good. Finally after three months in the shelter, the Jones family came in looking for a canine companion and it was mutual love at first sight! Tank was adopted on October 1st and is undergoing medical treatment for his heartworms thanks to the support of Subaru Share the Love funding.

RK Subaru had partnered with several members of our dealer group to donate this 40' x 100x indoor pitching and batting complex that was opened for the East Vineland Little League to train for baseball year-round. The facility was named in memory of Sandy Gee, who was the driving force in making this batting and pitching complex a reality. The Sandy Gee Practice Facility has helped improve the skills of youth baseball players and will continue to help more in the future!

On July 23rd, Subaru employees delivered blankets to patients at Frank & Edith Scarpa Cancer Pavillion at Inspira Hospital. These blankets represent warmth and hope to the patients and remind them that Subaru employees are keeping them in their thoughts.
Upon walking through the front doors at Inspira Hospital, it was immediately noticeable how much love and care is given to the patients here. As Subaru brought the boxes upstairs and began taking out the blankets for the patients, the nurses had tears in their eyes, and were so thankful that so much thought was put into the delivery. It was apparent that the staff at Scarpa Cancer Pavillion at Inspira Medical were also so thankful to be able to gift their patients with a quality blanket, and bring smiles to their faces. Jim from Subaru lost his wife to cancer just three short years ago, and delivering the blankets to the patients was a very special moment for him. As we gathered together for a photo, hugs were given and many smiles were exchanged. This was a wonderful day that will never be forgotten by the nurses and staff at Inspira Medical.
